Identification of stakeholders

Taiwan Secom carries out a materiality assessment in accordance with the four reporting standards of GRI: stakeholder inclusiveness, sustainability context, materiality, and completeness. It also refers to the AA1000 Stakeholder Engagement Standard (SES) to select six major stakeholders: employees, customers, investors, government agencies, community members, and suppliers.

Identification of Material Topics

Sorting of Material Topics

The sustainability topics are divided into three main categories: corporate governance, social responsibility, and environmental protection. The 20 sustainability topics and their related explanations are presented in the Questionnaire for Analysis of Material Topics, which is distributed to various stakeholders to understand the extent of their interest in the various sustainability topics and Taiwan Secom.

A total of 233 valid questionnaires were retrieved, and the material topics for 2021 were decided through a dual cross-analysis, as shown in the matrix below. In order to focus on the management of the sustainable business strategy and respond to the high expectations of our stakeholders, the CSR team selected ten major topics as the material topics for the 2021 Sustainability Report.

Taking into consideration the completeness of the information disclosed, other sustainability topics will also be included in the disclosure of this report for further analysis of their impact on the Company and beyond.

The sustainability topics will be incorporated into our daily work and subsequent planning; we have also communicated with our main stakeholders through various channels, as they serve as the basis for the Company in promoting its actions on corporate social responsibility.
