Lee Way was founded in 1998 as a company that specialized in providing direct site-to-police alarm links that help prevent crime at enterprises and government departments. The importance of saving lives spurred Lee Way’s decision to enter the medical industry in 2008 through its integrated AED service and the development of medical devices. The “Taiwan AEDWorld” website was also set up by Lee Way to educate the public on the easy use of AEDs.
Saving Lives through Public AED Integration
Material improvements in living conditions and changing lifestyles have made cardiovascular disease one of the leading causes of death in the general population.
Due to many deaths from heart attacks that may have been prevented through prompt first aid, an integrated AED service was introduced by Lee Way to install AEDs in public spaces in partnership with government agencies. Lee Way now accounts for 70%
of the AED market in Taiwan. Taiwan is also ranked 3rd in the world on AED coverage.
To expand the reach of its service, Lee Way developed an AED map app that is free to download so that everyone knows where to
find an AED to help someone when they need it. A total of 143 cases of successful saves have been recorded by Lee Way’s AED network.
On-site (Workplace) Health Management Service Plan
Lee Way offers enterprises a service that satisfies national occupational safety and health regulations which require enterprises to employ or contract medical personnel to meet the requirements for on-site medical service hours plan for medical service access.
Medical services should include: HRV tests (providing heart quality, sleep, mood, stress,
fatigue index and yin and yang physical analysis, ) blood pressure, body temperature and body fat, and include annual workplace health examination records. The management system is used for inquiries and health risk analysis and interpretation, and medical and nursing staff can also conduct health promotion activities and management tracking for
employees with high and medium health risks.
Fire Notification + Emergency Notification Video Surveillance System
For nursing homes and long-term care institutions, Lee Way Electronics launched a product combining the 119 fire notification system with an emergency notification image system which integrates anti-robbery, disaster prevention, and video.Through real-time image monitoring and recording the scene, agents can easily identify abnormal conditions. A 24-hour control center monitors any signal for abnormality at any time. If there is any abnormal incident, it is immediately transmitted to the 119 and 110 service centers to reduce disaster damage; the system has an automatic defect detection and reporting function, and the control service center immediately dispatches personnel to resolve the malfunction. A self-diagnosis button is also available, and allows users to check whether the system is operational at any time, and automatically transmits back the test status.
