Taiwan SECOM Group consolidated three affiliated companies (Litenet, Comlink and Sigmu D.P.T.) to become Brightron Mechatronics Corporation in 2019 to boost their overall competitiveness and business portfolios. The addition of Internet-of-Things (IoT) integration expertise made the new company the only engineering integration company in Taiwan capable of offering a total solution that combines electrical engineering, fire protection and disaster prevention services.

Integrated General Contractor for Electrical Engineering, Fire Protection and Disaster Prevention Services

Brightron was formed to service the electrical engineering market. In the past, the power system and fire protection system were traditionally farmed out to sub-contractors by the electrical engineering contractor. As a result, there was no effective way to ensure the integration of interfaces, systems, and conduits, leading to frequent project delays, higher costs for the customer, and having to deal with different vendors for subsequent maintenance and repairs. Brightron was the first to offer a turn-key service that combined electrical engineering, fire protection and disaster prevention all under one roof. The higher level of project integration simplified project scheduling and sped up future maintenance.

By introducing Taiwan SECOM’s IoT technology, Brightron can implement the following once it is put in charge of the customer’s construction site:
• Smart Site Management System: Traditional manpower management is optimized through effective control over incoming /departing personnel and construction tasks.
• Facial and Fingerprint Recognition for Access Control: Effectively manage the number of construction personnel on each floor to reduce the chance of industrial safety accidents.
• Smart Surveillance and Vehicle Recognition System: Achieve smart site management through monitoring of site conditions and vehicle traffic.

Turn-Key Contract for Fire Protection System and Power System Planning

Taiwan SECOM Group has over twenty years of experience with electrical engineering for smart buildings and has won the trust of customers in monitoring and control equipment as well. The scope of management services encompasses four areas: total management, video surveillance, property management, and car park planning. The monitoring and control system has been applied to smart buildings and campus’ alike. Actual services include central monitoring, fiber-optic networks, surveillance cameras, digital metering (water/electricity/gas), access control / driveway management and more. Brightron can therefore provide the most appropriate monitoring and control design for residential or commercial applications

Brightron is also a distributor for professional-grade fire protection systems. Strict controls are enforced at every stage, from design, development, drawing & planning, safety review to production and sale. The six phases of planning, design, budgeting, drafting and validation, on-site installation and warranty support in every fire protection system installation can all be completed in one package. The system, equipment, and integration planning services all serve to ensure a higher level of fire safety.

Brightron has obtained 8 electrical contracts totaling more than TWD 2 billion as well as successfully executing or negotiating collaborative projects with public institutions and private enterprises since its founding. Key projects included Tamhai Light Rail System, Soochow University, Porsche Taipei, Costco, IBM’s Linkou data center, and Nan Shan Life Insurance. Major public infrastructure projects and leading enterprises have all made Brightron their top choice. In the future, private residences, factories, offices and public infrastructure projects will all be Brightron's target market.

Taiwan SECOM Group has a long history in the smart green building sector. More than 100 smart buildings have been completed to date, and a new approach to smart disaster prevention will be defined in the future such as testing and inspection for old and unsafe buildings, earthquake early warning systems, assistance for urban renewal projects. Partnerships have also been set up with the Goldusn Building Materials Group for the use of safe building material, and with the Taiwan SECOM Group on the deployment of smart systems.
