The Taipei Port Terminal was founded in 2009 after GoldSun successfully won a 50-year government concession to build and operate the No.2 Bulk Cargo Center consisting of terminal piers number East 10, East 11, and East 12. The main function of the company is the import of aggregate, cement, slag, and other bulk raw materials and its subsequent handling, storage, transportation, and logistics. Through the use of a dispatch center and a technology-enabled automated computer system, the facility not only controls the movement of the raw materials but also processes and sorts the raw materials for accurate delivery to the customer.In the future, whether it is cement, slag, or other building materials, Taipei Port Terminal can handle the logistics and distribution for sales globally. Creating new business developments, lower transportation and production costs, and enhance management efficiency and economic of scale.

Nine Operations in a Vertically Integrated System

Three bulk cargo docks, the East 10, East 11, and East 12, were built at Taipei Port. There are also warehouses, logistics facilities, and processing facilities that includes: 3 docks, an “Aggregate Storage and Sorting System” comprising of a warehouse and dispatch station that can hold 13,500 tons of aggregate.
There are also facilities for the distribution of bulk quantity concrete including a hearth stone distribution center, cement silo system, warehouse and logistics center, warehouse processing center, Goldsun Taipei Port ready-mixed concrete plant, building materials distribution center, and employee recreation center.

Free Trade Advocate and the Development of a Logistics Center in Northern Taiwan

The Taipei Port Terminal not only can develop into a storage and transport center of bulk cargo in northern Taiwan, but can also serve as a platform for the distribution of building materials. This facility started its operation in 2016 and will help to improve the performance of port value-adding logistics and free trade port operation. This facility will continue to reduce its costs through its advantage of “vertical integration in production and sale”, and help to promote safe building materials footprint so as to gain a larger market share and the eventual industry leading position.
